What does it do?
Our Monitoring and Support Tool helps prevent computer repair and helps us when you need computer repair. It sits down in your quick launch tray on the bottom of your computer screen (PC) or at the top of your screen (Mac). You barely even know it’s there unless you click on it. You’ll recognize our friendly Computer Chick logo.
If you “right-click” (long press for Mac), you will get a helpful menu of options!
Monitoring
While your computer is running, quietly watches for problems that you may not be aware of and keeps track of them for us. It is NOT “spyware”, doesn’t steal your passwords or let us see what’s happening on your screen. It doesn’t track what you do on the internet. Our software automatically logs hardware and software issues detected on your computer. If you have a concern, contact us and we can give you inside information on your computer (often at no charge) or if you need assistance, we can help you remotely for a reasonable fee.
Remote Tech Support
If you happen to need our help, this tool gives you the option to easily get Remote Support without ever having to leave your home or office. Just set up an appointment and we will give you a call at the requested time. When you’re ready for us to connect to your computer, you will see a notification on your screen asking for permission to connect. Once we’re connected, we can see what’s happening on your screen, take control of your mouse (if requested) and easily help you with whatever issue you’re having. It’s so much less hassle than bringing your computer in and best of all, we can assist you no matter how far away you are as long as you’re connected to the internet! Want FREE Remote Support? *Installation may be more challenging on a Mac due to the permissions. If you have trouble setting up the app, just let us know and we should be able to help you.
